“If you are looking for an authentic, hearty feast in JLT, Afghan Palace is a must-visit. We recently visited as a large group of 11 for lunch, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the exceptional ambience—the restaurant beautifully captures a warm, traditional vibe that makes it perfect for large gatherings. The service was equally impressive; despite our group size, the staff remained attentive, welcoming, and professional throughout the afternoon. ​We opted for the Afghan Platter, Mixed Grill, and fresh bread. The quality of the meat was the absolute highlight—perfectly seasoned, juicy, and charred to perfection. It is important to note that the grill items take a minimum of 30 minutes to prepare, but it is well worth the wait. This isn't "fast food"; it’s slow-cooked, high-quality Afghan cuisine that demands patience for the best results. ​One thing to keep in mind: this is a true haven for Non veg lovers. While the bread and rice are delicious, this place is not really worth it for vegetarians, as the menu is heavily focused on their signature meat dishes. ​However, if you are a fan of authentic grills and are looking for a place with great soul and even better food, Afghan Palace is a gem. Our group left incredibly satisfied. It’s easily one of the best spots in JLT for a communal, flavorful meal!”
