Soul Kitchen Dubai

“Pretty good for a Monday night. The band was great playing Erika Badu and Drake instrumentals. Apparently this is the only bar in Dubai with a resident rapper and he was great - though w el ly heard him for one song?? (Why?) We arrived after 9pm and sat at the bar - the space is huge with three separate eating areas and they had a decent turn out for the music - 40 people or so. The cocktails were phenomenal and the atmosphere was perfect. Very date-worthy. Service was nice but not attentive which lost them a star. We moved to a table at the front and no one came to ask us about food and drinks which we were looking forward to ordering however when the band took a break we decided to go home instead of flag down a server. Real missed opportunity by the wait staff and floor manager who were there in abundance but not really attentive to the needs of the room. Lots of yummy looking options on the menu too - nice vegetarian choices. Sigh. The cocktails and vibes were good enough to return and give it a second try even if it’s only a liquid diet experience.”
