“Samad Al is an authentic Iraqi restaurant showcasing Maskouf. Maskouf is the name for both the national Iraqi dish of seasoned fish and also the cooking method over an open wood flame (not the name of the fish). To start we were served a complimentary soup with a squeeze of lemon and traditional bread. For our mains we ordered a mixed grill which had meat that was incredibly tender and a shrimp dish in a beautiful rich sauce.”
