“We came to the restaurant yesterday evening at 5:20pm and were seated as a table of nine. The issues began when we started ordering and at least four or five items on the menu were apparently sold out from yesterday including all the vegetarian options. The next issue was how long the food took to arrive which was well over an hour and after waiting for over an hour for our food the server came by to tell us (again an hour after we ordered) that my father’s meal was also apparently sold out. I have lived in the UAE for over ten years and have never had this happen to me. The entitlement and disorganization from this restaurant was absolutely baffling. The portions of all the meals were incredibly small as well, my mother ordered the Beef Bourguignon and it barely had two pieces of meat in the whole dish with the rest just being potato puree. I had ordered the salad and the lettuce and shredded vegetables were very clearly at least a few days old. The portion of chicken on the salad was also absolutely appalling. It looked as though they had taken one small piece of chicken and flattened it to oblivion before breading it and slapping it onto the plate. We all ended up having to go to a different restaurant because no one was full after eating. I don’t understand how a restaurant can be so unprepared for a dinner service, especially on Christmas Eve. The bill ended up being over 200 per person including the fact that my cousin and I had both ordered salads. The money wouldn’t have mattered had the food been good but when you’re pricing a meal at 180 dirhams you would at least expect to get a decent portion of food not whatever we got.”
