“I am daily visitor of this park with my family since 2008 and before that I used to come here with family on weekends and public holidays. Since 2008 it’s a part of my everyday life to visit this park. I have a type of bonding to this park since 2008 when I started staying near to this park. I have to cross the park wherever I go out to Supermarket, Cafeteria, Bus Stop, Etisalat office, Pharmacy and a normal brisk walk. My wife along with her friends use the park as their brisk walking place. Sometime back it was called as Hamariya Ladies Park when only ladies were allowed on all days and families on weekends and other Public holidays. It’s a nostalgic place for my two daughters (born and brought up in Dubai) because they have memories of childhood days, teenage, school days, collage days. One of my daughters is a doctor practicing in Germany and other is pursuing her PhD in Nuclear Science in the United States. Whenever they come on vacation, we make it a point to visit this park for sure. They don’t have any shame to sit on their old sea saws and climb on the ladders, etc. The park is maintained neat as always so are the playing equipments for kids. The large green grassy ground is an attraction not only for children, for adults too. The park has facilities for barbecue preparation for the visitors. Also we can get food from outside and eat there with friends and families. There is a small grocery inside which carries food items for children and adults. Tea and coffee are also available. So it’s a nostalgic place for each visitor force them to repeat their visits with their friends and relatives. If I write my experience about this park, there is no end to it. So ladies and gentlemen why are you waiting, make it a nostalgic place to you too.”
