“The waiter asked me to leave a 5-star review and promised a free drink in return. I agreed and left the review, but I was still charged for the drink. The next day, I contacted customer service to request a refund. They refused to transfer the money to me online and said I either had to come to the restaurant to collect cash or accept a refund to my member account which I actually don't want. I don’t understand why I should spend half an hour driving—plus fuel costs that exceed the price of the drink—to fix a mistake that was entirely theirs. I also don’t accept being forced into store credit for their error. Because the original 5-star review was given based on a promise that was not honored, I have deleted it and updated my review to reflect the actual experience.”
