“It’s a nostalgic place for me and my family as we are from Calicut. So In Dubai when you hear your city name, an inner force will bring you there, without even you notice it. We were a frequent visitors of this restaurant since it started. The staff members are very pleasing and friendly. Possibly that’s the reason, we are visiting this restaurant at least once a week, if not more. Whenever we have visitors at home you make sure to take them to Calicut Notebook Restaurant for them also to enjoy the tasty food served there. We have tasted both vegetarian and non vegetarian food there. We have more non vegetarian (fish & meat combinations) dishes compared to vegetarian foods. Our favorite dishes over there are Chicken Dum Biriyani, Seshwan Fried Rice (both vegetarian & non-veg), butter chicken, Kadai Panee, Paneer Butter Masala, Fish varutharachathu, Fish Fries, Chicken Chettinad…. On special occasions (ONAM), (VISHU), we get Sadhya on Banana Leaf. The tastes of the meals are delicious and authentic. Basically in Dubai (we r in Dubai for over 32 years - my two daughters are born and brought up here - now one is in Germany and the other in the United States) we have a feeling that we are not living in a foreign country but our own country. The people are so friendly so we don’t feel we are around 3000 miles away from our country. Whenever our daughters visits us in Dubai, we make it a point to dine at Calicut Notebook Restaurant, our nostalgic place 😊 So Ladies and gentlemen, please do visit and experience this restaurant by yourself, family and friends.
